REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) is the new European Union law for chemicals that came into effect in 2007. This law supersedes all legislation relating to chemicals, including the current EINECS inventory number registration given to each chemical substance traded in the European Union between 1971 and 1981.
Química de los Pavimentos works with suppliers that have completed the pre-registration phase in December 2008, so any substance that is manufactured or imported into the EU and that exceeds one ton per year has to be registered with the new Chemical Agency European.
The implementation of the REACH Regulation is one of the biggest challenges that the European chemical industry has faced recently.
